Hosted by the Brandon Public Library and the Literary Exchange Speaker Series, novelist Melanie Schnell will lead a creative writing workshop at the Brandon Public Library.

This free 90-minute workshop will offer participants the chance to try their hand at writing exercises as a way to develop their skills and have fun! We will draw from poems and stories in the literary canon to exemplify what works and why.

Melanie Schnell’s first novel, While the Sun is Above Us, has been called “powerful,” “moving,” and “profound.” She lives under the yawning blue skies of Saskatchewan with her young son Gabriel where she teaches and writes.
