The Ukrainian community of Brandon, including the UCA “Tryzub” group, invites everyone to a movie night fundraiser event on Sunday, June 25 at the Evens Theatre at the BU.

“Sniper: The White Raven” is an action war adventure movie, based on a true story of heroic Ukrainian warriors who are defending their homeland since Russian’s invasion in 2014. The film will be presented here by the executive producer, who has came to Brandon seeking the safe life for his family.  This is a one-of-a-kind opportunity to show support and solidarity with Ukraine while learning its real life story through an adventure movie.

The movie will be shown in English with Ukrainian subtitles.

Ukrainian souvenirs will be available to purchase at the event. All proceeds are going to support Ukraine

About the movie

After suffering a senseless tragedy at the hand of invading soldiers in the Donbas region in 2014, a former Ukrainian physics teacher renounces his peaceful way of life and seeks revenge. Upon joining the military and earning a coveted spot as a sniper, he sets his sights on an elite Russian sniper whose elimination could change the tide of the conflict.
