IshKaabatens Waasa Gaa Inaabateg Department of Visual Art at Brandon University presents an artist talk by Pj Anderson.

Pj Anderson is an emerging ceramic artist from Thompson, Manitoba. Her practice explores the relationship between craft, identity and culture, specifically her kinship with Indigenous and African traditional crafts. As well as exhibiting nationally at the Clay and Glass Museum in Waterloo, Ontario, she was a Resident Artist at the University of KwaZulu Natal in South Africa and exhibited in Fuping, China as a finalist in the International Ceramic Magazine Editors Associations (ICMEA) emerging artist competition.

Pj has lectured at the University of Manitoba, the University of Kwazulu Natal, as well as in Winnipeg at the Manitoba Craft Council, and the Manitoba Craft Museum and Library. She teaches ceramics for the City of Winnipeg and the Winnipeg Art Gallery studio programs.

Currently based in Winnipeg, she is an MFA candidate at the University of Manitoba and is also serving as Director at Large for NCECA (National Council for Education for the Ceramic Arts).
