‘Polytechnique’ screening — National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women

For the National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women on Dec. 6, 2023, the Evans Theatre at Brandon University will host a ceremony and viewing of the film ‘Polytechnique’ (77 min. 14A) starting at 4:15 p.m.

There will also be a performance by the Brandon University Chorale, directed by Dr. Andrée Dagenais.

  • Donations accepted for the Women’s Resource Centre.
  • English-language subtitles will enabled.

BU’s Status of Women Review Committee is organizing this event in recognition of the 16 days of activism against gender-based violence. This global campaign runs every year from November 25, the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, to December 10, Human Rights Day. The Government of Canada’s theme for the campaign in 2023 is Listen. Learn. Act.
