Brandon University Brass Concert

Ed Bach, Director. The Christmas concert will feature a number of favorites of the season for all ages. In addition the ensemble will perform a virtuosic arrangement of Rossini’s Overture to the Barber of Seville. There will be a number of sacred works throughout the concert (Cradle Carol, Coventry Carol, What Child is This) featuring the pure vocal quality of the brass instruments. Traditional favorites like Joy to the World, O little Town of Bethlehem, and The First Noel will be certain to get everyone in the Holiday spirit. In addition the concert will feature jazzed up versions of popular music associated with Christmas. Favorites like Winter Wonderland and Let It Snow/Frosty the Snowman will leave people singing in their seats. Children and adults alike can sing along to Jingle Bells and Deck the Halls. The relaxed presentation will include interesting commentary of each piece.
