Brandon University welcomes Brien Convery to speak at the March 18 Brandon Chamber of Commerce speaker session. At the session, which is sponsored by the University, BU President Dr. David Docherty will also make a significant related announcement.
Convery is a dynamic and high-energy speaker who will speak on the future of work, and how to transform that future through talent, people, culture and inclusion.
“I can’t wait to hear this talk,” Docherty said. “As we build BU into Manitoba’s top experience university, it’s essential that we continue to offer students everything they need for future success. And as a people institution, we need to offer the same opportunities for our faculty and staff.”
Convery is an innovative, accomplished and results-driven executive professional with 30 years of diversified and progressive experience spanning a wide range of industries and disciplines both in the public and private sectors globally.
Brien is currently National Director for Early Talent Communities and Inclusive Recruitment at RBC and he consults with a number of post-secondary and industry advisory boards in support of the overall student learning experience. He is a board member and Chair of the Employer Directors and Managers Expert Community at CEWIL Canada and he most recently launched his #CoffeeWithConvery Podcast (anchor.fm/coffeewithconvery) which is an intimate, upfront and personal approach to engaging students to listen, learn and be inspired.
Tickets for the speaker session are just $20 available on the Brandon Chamber website at http://brandonchamberofcommerce.chambermaster.com/events/register/1133. Exclusive offer codes for BU alumni have been sent out in the BU Alumni e-newsletter.
