This internal virtual workshop is open to Brandon University Faculty & Staff

Join Cree/Métis Grandmother Deb Tacan for a virtual session and discussion that explores ways for bringing ourselves into balance, in support of resiliency and being well together.  In this two part session, Deb guides our learning about practices and frameworks for wellness, drawing on a blend of Indigenous and non-Indigenous worldviews.

Topics for reflection:

  • How do we bring ourselves back into balance and how can we be well together
  • Knowledge and practices provided by ancestors and Elders to help us be resilient
  • Incorporate self-care into our days
  • Life Stages of the Medicine Wheel
  • First Nations Mental Wellness Continuum framework (Thunderbird Partnership Foundation)

Thursday, February 4 & 11
