Presenting an eclectic repertoire of music by Count Basie, Aretha Franklin, Busty and the Bass, Cannonball Adderley, and the Winery Dogs (amongst others), the Brandon University “Eklektikos” Band features fifteen first and second-year superstars in the School of Music. Under the guidance of Professor Eric Platz, the band explores a variety of large ensemble performance techniques in the context of traditional big band music and student arrangements of contemporary popular music.
