A Gathering of Minds Research Session 2: Food security in an insecure world: will there be enough for all

Everyone should have access to sufficient amounts of safe, nutritious and culturally appropriate food. However, according to the Conference Board of Canada, “nearly 2 million people in Canada (about 77.7 per cent of Canadian households) self-report being “food insecure”. In this session, we will discuss the current state of food security, explore some of the risk factors associated with food insecurity and recommend some local and national strategies to combat food security challenges.
There is no charge for this event and everyone is welcome, but please note that seating is limited. Refreshments will be provided.
