Lunch and Learn

Have you a concept in your discipline that is so difficult and complex that students have a hard time grasping it? Sometimes a learning object can provide that clear illustration of how all the parts work together. They can also be programmed to assess how well that concept is being grasped.

You might consider providing the concept guidance for a learning object that helps to demonstrate, explain and potentially assess grasp of the concept. One of Manitoba Hub’s digital designers (housed at UManitoba) might be able to turn that concept into a learning object. They are open to working with BU faculty over the next while to do just that.

Some of the Hub’s online learning designers are coming to BU next Thursday to provide a free “lunch and learn” on learning objects and other online methods of teaching.
