Brandon University (BU) will be the site of the Louis Riel Day Fun Family Celebration, presented by Grand Valley Local, on Monday, Feb. 17.

The event, which is open to the entire community, will take place from noon to 4 p.m. at Harvest Hall, BU’s main dining facility. Among the activities planned are face painting and a jigging lessons. The event will also feature free food and a live band performing traditional music.

There is no charge to attend the Fun Family Celebration, and parking on the BU campus will be free as well.

No classes are scheduled for Louis Riel Day, and university offices will be closed.
