Two-Day Workshop

Thursday, & Friday, December 6 & 7
9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Louis Riel Room, Main Floor – McMaster Hall (BU)

All participants are required to complete the full two days of instruction to receive their MHFA certificate.

Facilitated by MHFA certified BU faculty members, this two day workshop provides participants with core skills needed to identify, help, and refer someone showing signs of mental health problems or experiencing a mental health crisis.  As members of the BU community, we may all find occasions where we encounter students who are grappling with mental health issues.  This workshop will help to equip you to better support students.

Workshop Facilitators:

  • Dr. Chris Brown, Associate Professor (Education), Chair (Educational Psychology & Student Services) at Brandon University
  • Dr. Pete Whittington, Associate Professor (Geography) at Brandon University
