National Day of Mourning 2022

Thursday, April 28th

Brandon University

Event Navigation

April 28 marks this years National Day of Mourning remembering and honouring those we have lost to workplace incidents and illnesses.

This day also serves as an opportunity for Brandon University to collectively renew our commitment to improve safety and health here in our workplace and prevent negative outcomes from workplace injuries and illnesses.

These past two years, the Covid-19 pandemic has added an additional burden to our community.

We would like to especially acknowledge our Faculty of Health Studies students and staff who were most directly engaged in providing health-care services during the pandemic, all front-line and essential workers, members of our campus community, and all those who have become ill or have died providing care during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Brandon University has lowered our flag to half mast for the day.
