Performance Feedback & Development (Manager’s Session)
Event Navigation
This session is an internal offering available to those in managerial roles at Brandon University.
We’re excited to be moving forward with the Performance Feedback & Development resource for non-faculty at the University. This tool will help to formalize performance planning discussions on an annual basis and provide the framework for a consistent process across the University.
Please join us on Tuesday, January 29 for a two-hour workshop, where we will review the resource in more detail, in addition to outlining a process for managers to help support their employees. A Discussion Guide will also be shared and reviewed to assist you in starting the conversation with your employees in a meaningful way. Finally, this workshop will be an opportunity for you to ask questions and seek clarification on the process and resources provided.
Performance Feedback & Development (Manager’s Session)
Tuesday, January 29
2:30 – 4:30 p.m.
Louis Riel Room, Main Floor – McMaster Hall
Facilitated by: Karen MacDonald, Chief Human Resources Officer
Why do we need this resource?
Staff have indicated through various surveys over the years that they would appreciate feedback. Best practice informs us that providing specific feedback to employees, setting objectives and supporting professional development contributes to a higher degree of engagement. This resource is an opportunity to facilitate discussions with your staff about their contributions to your Unit and discuss objectives that they can work towards that will help to strengthen your Unit and ultimately the University as a whole.
If there are other managers or supervisors in your respective areas that would benefit from this workshop, please feel free to forward these details along.
We look forward to seeing you at the workshop.
