Each year on December 6, Canada marks the National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women.
The day commemorates the anniversary of the École Polytechnique massacre where 14 young women were murdered in an act of misogyny.
The Status of Women Review Committee (SWRC) is recognizing the day by sponsoring two screenings of the film Polytechnique at the Evans Theatre at noon and 5 p.m.
Admission is free, and snacks will be available for purchase. Donations will be accepted for the Women’s Resource Centre.
English-language subtitles will be enabled.
