At the tail end of the 1980s, the Brandon University Bobcats men’s basketball team was one of the dominant sports forces in Canada. The BU Bobcats won the national title three years in a row.
Craig Cesmystruk, a Web Content Editor at BU, looks back at their legacy in Powerhouse on the Prairies, a documentary done in cooperation with BellMTS TV that combines thrilling game footage with interviews with key Bobcat figures.
There is limited seating in the Evans Theatre for these showing. The documentary will be screened multiple times through Homecoming.
Powerhouse on the Prairies is also available for pre-order on DVD or Blu-ray at PrairiePowerhouse.ca. A portion of sales will support the Jerry and Marnie Hemmings Scholarship Fund.
