You are invited to the public lecture, “Health Care is a Public Good” by Niall Harney and Thomas Linner on Thursday October 26, 2023 at 7 p.m. in the Louis Riel Room at Brandon University. The lecture is sponsored by the Errol Black Chair in Labour Issues at the Canadian Centre for Policy Alternatives and the Manitoba Health Coalition. This is a free event and light refreshments will be provided.

Errol Black was an Economics Professor for 30 years at Brandon University. He was also a Brandon City Councillor for 12 years and a founding member of the Manitoba Chapter of the Canadian Centre for Policy Alternatives. Errol passed away in 2012 with ALS, commonly known as Lou Gehrig’s Disease. This was a terrible loss, but his impact was recognized soon after with the creation of the Errol Black Chair in Labour Studies at the Canadian Centre for Policy Alternatives. This lecture is part of a series conducted annually through the Errol Black Chair program.
