Public Listening Session on Artificial Intelligence

August 10 @ 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Harvest Hall

Manitoba Innovation and New Technology (MINT) has begun stakeholder engagement activities to gather perspectives on the governance and responsible use of artificial intelligence (AI), cybersecurity, and the protection of Manitobans’ data. This engagement will help government better understand where Manitobans expect safeguards, clarity, and care. Feedback gathered through these sessions will inform the development of potential policies, legislation, and governance frameworks.

In August, MINT will be conducting a regional listening session in Brandon. This session will provide the public with an opportunity to share their perspectives on how Manitoba can ensure the responsible use of AI and better protect data and critical networks and systems.

For those who have already participated in a discussion session, we appreciate your contributions. The regional listening sessions will provide an additional opportunity to share your input.

The Brandon listening session will take place on Monday, August 10, 2026, from 1:00–3:00 p.m. at Harvest (Dining) Hall, Brandon University, 270 18th St.

Individuals wishing to participate in either session are asked to register at the following link:
