‘Short Shots’ — four short plays
Event Navigation
The Brandon University Theatre is proud to present ‘Short Shots’ — a series of four 10-minute plays with something for every audience — at the end of February.
They four short plays are: a peek behind the scenes at a political ad being made; an anxious young man spurned in love finds salvation in an odd encounter on a window ledge; a couple saves every note they ever left for each other; and finally three hired killers channel Reservoir Dogs.
“Short Shots is like a dessert buffet: sweet and just a bit indulgent,” says director James Forsythe, a longtime BU theatre professor and the coordinator of BU’s drama program. “From touching romance to outright farce these four treats offer something for every taste.”
The plays feature a stellar student cast of 10 actors.
Short Shots will be presented three times over the course of a weekend. On Friday and Saturday, evening, February 28 and 29, at 8:00 p.m., and again a Sunday matinee on March 1 at 2:00 p.m. All shows will be in the Evans Theatre on the BU campus. Tickets are $10 at the door for rush seating. The performance will run 45 minutes without an intermission.
Celebrate the end of February with Short Shots.
