Acclaimed pianist Alexander Tselyakov will perform in Brandon with the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra this Sunday.

An Associate Professor of Music at Brandon University, Tselyakov will join the WSO at the Western Manitoba Centennial Auditorium for an afternoon performance of pieces by Mozart and Brahms.

  • Mozart: Concerto No. 23 in A major
  • Brahms: Symphony No. 1 in C Minor

Few great works of music have taken so long to get to a finished product as Brahm’s Symphony No. 1. It took 21 years from sketches to finishing touches and certified his name alongside Bach and Beethoven as one of the legendary “three B’s” of classical music. Rounding out the evening is one of Mozart’s most famous piano concertos.
