DESCRIPTION:The Department of Francophone Studies and Languages is organizing the exciting event\, Shifting Ideas of What it Means to Be Francophone in Manitoba\, with special guests on January 23\, 2025. \nThe event is open to the public and all are welcome to attend. \nGuest Speakers include: \nHon. Glen Simard\, MLA Brandon East and  Minister of Municipal and Northern Relations & Responsible of Francophone Affairs \nRobert Loiselle\, MLA St. Boniface (Winnipeg) \nMaître Joseph Pelletier\, BU Alumnus\, Partner at Treo Law LLP (Brandon) \nThese guests will be in conversation with Brandon University’s Dr. Eftihia Mihelakis\, Associate Professor of French & Francophone Studies \nThe event takes place Thursday evening\, January 23\, from 5–7 in Clark Hall at Brandon University.
