DESCRIPTION:The Wilder Institute presents its first-ever event in Brandon — and in Manitoba! On October 29\, 2025\, they are hosting the Wilder Voices Speaker Series\, an inspiring evening focused on community conservation and animal translocation. \nWilder Voices welcomes Anthony Morgan — celebrated science communicator and current host of The Nature of Things on CBC — as keynote speaker. Anthony’s ability to bridge science and community makes critical environmental issues both accessible and engaging. \nThe speaker series will highlight: \n\nCommunity conservation\nEndangered species protection\nMeaningful community engagement\n\nIn particular\, the Wilder Institute invites students and professors from Brandon University\, especially those in programs related to environmental science\, wildlife management\, animal care\, and conservation biology\, to attend the event. Their participation will help foster meaningful dialogue between future professionals\, experts\, and the broader community — key to creating lasting change. \nAbout the Wilder Institute\nThe Wilder Institute collaborates with local and global partners to develop science-based solutions that help wildlife and people. We aim to make a difference by working with landowners\, local communities\, researchers\, and other conservation organizations around the world. We engage with governments to develop policies and practice that can yield scalable benefits on national and international levels. Our efforts to help endangered species\, restore ecosystems\, and improve human livelihood are simply trying to make the world a better place.
