However\, according to the Conference Board of Canada\, “nearly 2 million people in Canada (about 77.7 per cent of Canadian households) self-report being “food insecure”. While the pandemic strengthened our resilience and resolve in the face of uncertainty\, it also highlighted the inequities in our health care and education systems.
