SUMMARY:pro series: HOME COMING CONCERT: PRAIRIE PUNK\, Nicole Lizée & Guests
DESCRIPTION:Scenario: \nA karaoke machine is glitching. It rewinds\, stops without warning\, jumps between sections. Pitch and speed fluctuate. The tape is damaged – chewed up by the machine. An 11-piece ensemble features Lizée herself returning to her alma mater alongside new music A-list musicians from Winnipeg\, Brandon\, Saskatoon and Montreal including BU School of Music faculty and alumni celebrating the school’s past and present. Prairie Punk also features Not Seeing Is A Flower\, the unique cello concerto written by Lizée for cellist/curator Leanne Zacharias.
