SUMMARY:A Gathering of Minds Research Session 1: Post-secondary education in a post-COVID environment: is there a new normal?
DESCRIPTION:The COVID-19 pandemic forced humanity to adapt and innovate at an accelerated pace. Universities were quick to find alternative ways to deliver their programs. The global shift from in person to on-line teaching and learning was unprecedented. While the pandemic strengthened our resilience and resolve in the face of uncertainty\, it also highlighted the inequities in our health care and education systems. The COVID-19 pandemic was not the first\, nor is it likely to be the last. In this session\, the Deans of Arts\, Health Studies\, Education\, Music and Science will discuss the impacts of the pandemic on their disciplines and the post-COVID reality. \nEvent location to be determined. There is no charge for this event and everyone is welcome\, but please note that seating is limited.
