Talk on current revolution and women’s rights in Iran
On September 16, 2022, while in custody, the Iranian morality police mercilessly murdered Mahsa Amini, a 22-year-old Kurdish-Iranian woman. Mahsa encountered police brutality because her hijab was not in accordance with hijab laws in Iran. Her brutal murder instigated a series of ongoing protests and human rights actions in Iran, as young people are demanding emancipation from gender segregation laws in Iran.
