Introducing Irène Poldowski (nee Wieniawski) to Brandon audiences. L’état d’âme is meant to capture an essence of Poldowski’s gift – her ability to encapsulate the essential spirit of a text (a “stage of mind”) in spontaneous sound, including a spoken narrative of her life and music at the turn of the 19th century.
