‘How Inciteful’ — Online speakers series II

The Brandon University Politics Society presents ‘How Inciteful,’ an online speakers series featuring reflections on Trump’s interdisciplinary impacts on academia.
This three-week series runs Tuesday evening from 7–8 p.m., starting Tuesday, Jan. 19, continuing Tuesday, Jan. 26, and concluding Tuesday, Feb. 2.
Presentations will feature contributions from the departments of Gender and Women’s Studies, Political Science, Sociology, English and Creative Writing, Philosophy, Biology, and Music. Following the presentations will be time for a short audience Q-and-A.
Tuesday, Jan. 26 lineup:
- Dr. Christopher Schneider — “The Revolution Will Not Be Televised (But It Might Be Livestreamed): Media Research in a Post-Trump World”
- Dr. Richard Baker — “Handshakes, Huawei, and Hooligans: Canada–US Relations in the Trump Era”
- Dr. Rachel Elliott — “Philosophy of the Unconscious? Rationality and Affect in the Post-Trump World”
