pro series: Dorothea Hayley, soprano, Catherine Wood, clarinet, Manuel Laufer, piano
Event Navigation
The programme includes Spaeth’s Alpenlied, Schubert’s Der Hirt auf dem Felsen, Meyerbeer’s Hirtenlied, the Canadian premiere of Rivas’ Ave Maria and the world premiere of a new work by Younger. After rewarding collaborations that began in Banff, these likeminded musicians will reunite— Catherine Wood’s home turf is Brandon, while Dorothea Hayley is based in Vancouver and Manuel Laufer currently hails from New York City— to present an evening inspired by nature, solitude and contemplation.
