The E-Gré National Music Competition raises profiles of contemporary Canadian composers, and provides a venue for Canada’s most talented New Music artists on the threshold of their careers. Welcome this year’s finalists, support the competition through our pie auction, and enjoy the Gala concert performed by competition jurors, Louise Bessette and Eve Egoyan.
Louise Bessette is a Montreal-based musician, renowned over her career for the excellence of her performances and for her commitment to promoting contemporary music. Eve Egoyan is an internationally celebrated Armenian-Canadian artist whose medium is the piano. She continually re-invents her relationship with her instrument through the creation and commissioning of new works, which she has performed around the world.
