The programme includes Prokofiev’s Piano Sonata No. 8, Op. 84, Dutilleux’s Piano Sonate, and Kapustin’s Piano Sonata No. 2, Op. 54.
A professor of piano at UBC and a champion of new music, Hamm has commissioned, premiered and recorded more than 200 compositions, including works for solo piano and concerti for piano and orchestra.
